While not surprising, the lockdown in Melbourne has meant that catch ups and the like are on pause again. I actually had a few meals with friends planned so it ended up being a LOT of eating out prior to it kicking in.
Apart from brunch, also managed to get a walk in between work at the nearby suburb of Williamstown. It was a gorgeous day and I think I spent the last few hours prior to lockdown quite well…
The cats at home have been pretty darn happy with the situation however. They haven’t had this much pats and cuddles in ages! Well, since the last lock down at least. Luna has been especially affectionate and is becoming much more of a lap cat. I was trying to eat dinner the other night, but nope, if I’m sitting down, she wants lap time!
Prior to work today, went for a walk through the city. I think given that it’s lockdown number 5, people have a set routine and get into it quickly these days. The whole place felt deserted! While I wish it wasn’t so, I think we’re quite well practiced with the protocols and probably respond faster than other states. I hope this translates to a short lockdown and life going back to some level of normalcy
Hope you’re staying safe, wherever you are!
