After the bliss that was having a week off in lockdown, I really didn’t feel like going back to work. Thankfully, I had no on calls and late finishes so that ended up being quite ok! Also, it turns out, work can be quite social since I’m surrounded by friends most days.
I started the Python coding course that I mentioned last time and though it’s a bit harder to keep up with it, it’s been a great way to stretch my coding knowledge. I have to say though, it’s tiring! It’s been a while since I’ve had to do some deep/new type of thinking and my old man brain hurts! π
Every so often, I get updates from people completing the jigsaw puzzle from Kickstarter (which is how a few f you ended up on the newsletter. This was the latest from Dario who sent me the following pic of a completed one!
I love getting these update shots, so if you have any of the puzzle, the calendar or any prints, please send them through. It makes my day!
On other creative endeavours, we’ve been trying to get a bit of a backlog going with randInt so that we can make it a consistently fortnightly experience. So far, it’s been working ok, except that I will need to start outsourcing some of the work since I simply don’t have the time to do much more than that basic edits anymore! Between these updates/emails (which I really enjoy writing), the podcast and trying to learn things, I tend to use up all my time including what I usually reserve for exercise. That’s clearly not sustainable (or healthy!). We’ll see if I can come up with some interim solutions.
Now, the cats have been a lot more playful lately. Gary in particular has been having these moments where he’s like his old mad cat self when he was a kitten! He’ll dash from one part of the apartment to the other for about 5 minutes, then his old age catches up and he needs to rest ππ
Luna on the other hand… occasionally does this…
While she looks quite happy dangling her legs, she is a bit of a klutz and I worry she’s going to fall over (she didn’t this time!)
