It’s been a slower week for me since it was the first few days of leave. Being in lockdown, there’s only so much one can do! On one hand, I really needed a break so it’s been nice to just sleep in without an alarm. On the other hand, the constant phone calls and emails don’t really help the restfulness part of leave.
The good thing is that apart from a bit of work over the weekend and tomorrow, I have the rest of next week off as well. At the current rate, Melbourne will STILL be in lockdown, but I’m really hoping to be able to go on a day trip somewhere if somehow the lockdowns lift by end of the week.
It’s meant lots of time playing with the cats and trying to get them hooked on cat videos…
On the leave side, it was meant to be a week of studying Python, but after the last few months, I had close to zero mental capacity for learning. Instead, I used this time to relax. I have most of next week off and think I’ll be in a much better spot to learn then.
The time also allowed for a less stressful timing of the randInt podcast, now up to episode 13! Chandra and I have finally gotten into a groove with it all and hope that we can make regular guests a recurring thing. Do you have any suggestions on who we can have on the podcast?
Overall, the week has been a nice change of pace. I’m looking forward to next week. It’ll be the first time I’ve had >4 days off in a row in over 2 years! I don’t think I’ll know what to do with myself!
